What do you enjoy most about your current job?
As HR is primarily a support department and as our colleagues are our ‘customers’, I like to think we offer good ‘Customer Service’ and always endeavour to be a part of the solution and not the problem.
As such, I get a great deal of personal and professional satisfaction when I am able to offer a positive resolution to a problem. I enjoy being part of a great team and look forward to the daily challenges and wide variation that the role offers.
Why did you join Home Retail Group ?
Initially, for the variety of hours and days the Company offered which allowed me to work around my family’s needs. But now that my children have grown and become less dependant upon me, I find that I enjoy the benefits and security of a large forward thinking Company.
How have you developed since being with Home Retail Group?
I started my employment as a Customer Service Advisor and after 3 years transferred to the Resource Team. I was then successful in securing my present position within the HR department. Therefore, I feel that I have had a variety of experience and exposure across the business and feel sure that I have now found my ‘niche’.
